Man stabbed in Dudley High Street fight

A man suffered a stab wound after a fight broke in broad daylight on a busy high street.

Police arrived in High Street, Dudley, after a brawl broke out close to the Full Moon pub.

They found a 36-year-old man with a small puncture wound to his chest, believed to have been caused by a knife. The ambulance service was called and he was treated for his injuries which are not believed to be serious.

Police were called at around 5.30pm yesterday.

Insp Derek Packham said: "I am appealing to anyone who was in the area of the High Street last night and may have seen the assault to contact my team. "I would also appeal to anyone who was involved to do the right thing and come forward."
