The UK Border Agency claims the stun guns were found in baggage during a search on July 25 after the arrival of a flight at Birmingham Airport from Istanbul, Turkey.

Caroline Scott, aged 47, a British woman who lives in Florida, has been charged with two counts of importing an offensive weapon.

She has been bailed to an address in Birmingham until September 5 when she will appear at Birmingham Magistrates' Court.

The charge comes just weeks after a man, understood to be in his 30s, was arrested after a stun gun and three knuckledusters were found in his baggage as he arrived from Cyprus into Birmingham Airport on July 17.

The details were then passed onto the the National Crime Agency to investigate.
