Roger Pratt, 62, who ran Okra Associates, a financial consultancy firm based in Rumer Hill Road, Cannock, was killed and his wife Margaret, 60, was injured in an attack on board their boat, which was moored off the south coast of St Lucia.

The four men covered their faces as they entered the courtroom yesterday, when they faced charges of murdering Mr Pratt on January 17. They are also charged with robbery offences.

The four, who are all from St Lucia, did not enter any pleas.

They will appear in court on April 11 for a hearing to determine whether there is sufficient evidence to commit them to trial.

Mr Pratt, who lived in Moreton Paddox near Stratford-Upon-Avon, died from asphyxia as a result of being beaten. His wife was injured and was treated at a hospital for cuts and bruises.
