Half-hour terror drive in Wolverhampton road rage attack

A man suffered serious head injuries after being taken on a terrifying half-hour drive during a suspected road rage attack.

Police say the man was bundled into a car after a row with another driver in Wolverhampton early on Christmas Day.

The incident happened at 1.15am in Chapel Ash just off the ring road when there was a dispute between the drivers of two silver cars.

Officers say a 20-year-old man from one of the cars was bundled into the other car.

He was driven around for approximately 30 minutes.

But he was able to escape near to Moseley Old Hall when he then called for help.

During the ordeal, police say the man was seriously assaulted and suffered 'nasty head injuries'.

He received treatment in hospital for two days.

Two men, aged 17 and 21, were arrested this morning in connection with the incident.

Anyone who may have witnessed the dispute or has any further information is asked to call Wolverhampton CID on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
