Man, 54, charged over stabbing in West Park

A man has been charged with wounding and possessing an offensive weapon following a stabbing in Wolverhampton's West Park.

Dudley Manderson, aged 54, of Rugby Street, Whitmore Reans, has now been bailed and is due to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates' Court on November 4.

Police were called to reports of a stabbing at Bath Avenue, Whitmore Reans, at 7.34am yesterday.

They say the victim, aged 46 and also from Whitmore Reans, was taken to hospital with cuts to his back and chest but his injuries are not thought to be serious.
