A supermarket chain is offering a £10,000 reward for information leading police to convict hammer-wielding raiders who terrorised women staff.
Two balaclava-clad men struck at the Spar shop in Wordsley Green, Wordsley, near Stourbridge, on Monday night, jumping across the counter as they attacked the drinks department.
They fled through a rear alleyway and are believed to have made off in a blue vehicle between 10pm and 10.30pm.
It has not yet been revealed what was stolen in the robbery, although nobody was injured in the incident.
Spar spokesman Mike Levaggi said: “This is a police matter and we are cooperating fully with their investigations.
“While no-one was hurt in the incident, the safety of our staff and customers is paramount to us and we are offering a reward of £10,000 for any information that leads to an arrest.”
