A mother of one has appeared in court charged with the attempted murder of a 46-year-old man found lying in a Wolverhampton street with stab wounds.
Leanne Beckles, 26, of Wanderers Avenue, Blakenhall appeared before Wolverhampton Magistrates’ Court yesterday facing a charge of the attempted murder of Tejvinder Singh Chahal.
The victim was found late on Friday night in Hawthorne Road, Blakenhall, with multiple injuries.
He was taken to hospital where he remains in an induced coma.
Beckles, wearing a black top and blue jeans, only spoke to confirm her name, date of birth and address.
She did not enter a plea.
Beckles had an application for bail refused and she was remanded in custody.
She will appear in Wolverhampton Crown Court on December 18.
Yesterday Beckles’ co-accused Jaspal Singh Bains, aged 44, of Talbot Road, Blakenhall appeared at the same court also charged with attempted murder. He didn’t enter a plea and was remanded in custody.
He will appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court at December 17.
