A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of murder today after an 18-year-old man was fatally stabbed in Birmingham.
Police said that an 18-year-old man handed himself in at a Dudley police station this morning.
Police were called to the attack, in the area of Coronation Road in Selly Oak, just before 11pm last night and said the victim was believed to have attended a fundraising event at TCs nightclub for Kyle Sheehan, who was murdered in Bartley Green in September last year.
The man was taken to hospital but died in the early hours of this morning.
Part of Coronation Road remains cordoned off by police this afternoon.
Detective Inspector Gary Plant said: “ We are in the very early stages of our investigations and are appealing to anyone with any information are urged to call police by dialling 101.”
The man’s family have been informed.
