CCTV images have released of a man believed to be from Wolverhampton, police want to trace in connection with a city centre fight.
Northumbria Police are investigating the fracas that took place in a car park at Riverside on the Quayside in Newcastle.
Officers were called to reports of a fight that happened at 2.54am on Sunday September 8.
When police arrived an 18-year-old man was found with injuries to his face and was taken to hospital for treatment to a fractured jaw.
CCTV was checked and officers now want to speak to a man it’s believed has information about the assault.
DC Kev Ridley, Newcastle CID, said: “The investigation is ongoing to trace the suspect and we now have CCTV images of a man who we believe has important information about what happened. We’re keen to trace him as soon as possible and would ask anyone who recognises him to get in touch with us.
“We’re also keen for anyone who was in the car park at the time to get in touch as soon as possible.
“Those living in the Peterborough or Wolverhampton area who are aware of friends or acquaintances visiting Newcastle on the weekend of September 7 are asked to contact us.”
