Police search for van after suspected Walsall distraction burglary

A police investigation has been launched following reports of a suspected distraction burglary in Pelsall.

It happened in Wolverhampton Road at around 9.10am today and the suspect managed to flee in a van.

The West Midlands Police helicopter was being used to scour the Pelsall and nearby Brownhills areas along with officers on the ground.

Force spokeswoman Gina Lycett said: "We were called at about 9.10am to a report of a suspected distraction burglary.

"It looks like the suspect made off in a red Vauxhall van."
