Chamber offers customs training courses

The Black Country Chamber of Commerce is offering customs training as the UK approaches Brexit.

The training courses, run with HM Revenue and Customs on May 31 and June 28.

HMRC has announced that the deadline for applications for an £8 million government initiative to help businesses prepare for the EU exit has been extended to the end of May.

The funding will support customs intermediaries and traders completing customs declarations and can be used to help businesses meet the costs of employee training and IT improvements.

The courses include an introduction to trade, business responsibilities, export and import processes, valuation and classification.

The training courses will take place at the chamber offices.
