Teenager taken to hospital after two-car smash in Walsall

A teenage girl was taken to hospital after two cars collided in Walsall during rush hour.

The crash took place near the junction of Broadway West and Alexandra Road in Palfry around 8.30am this morning, leaving the road covered in debris.

A girl in her late teens suffered cuts to her head and was taken to Walsall Manor Hospital.

One ambulance attended along with police.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We were called at 8.42am to a two-car collision. There was one patient.

"One ambulance attended. Police attended as well."

West Midlands Police confirmed the two cars were damaged, causing debris to scatter across the road.
