Elliot Beddow, from Bridgnorth Road, Stourton, died on Brettell Lane, Brierley Hill, in the early hours of September 3.

The apprentice engineer was riding his Harley Davidson when, at around 2.10am, he collided with railings and a wall as he came around a right-hand bend on the crest of a hill.

Black Country Coroners Court heard how he sustained multiple injuries.

Senior Coroner Zafar Siddique suspended the inquest pending the ongoing criminal investigations.

An update is expected by the end of November.

After his death, Mr Beddow's mother Katie paid tribute to her son. She said: "We have lost the brightest light, our ray of sunshine and the family joker."

"He was fiercely loyal and protective of those he loved. A son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and soul mate to Holly, her partner in crime, and a friend to many.

"In the words of his nephew 'I love Uncle Brum Brum'. He will always be in our hearts and we will miss him now and forever. He lived to win.

"Ride long and free until we all meet again."
