Wolverhampton's Young Citizen of the Year has become the latest star to endorse our Great Big Thank You Awards.

Emma Curran, aged 17, was recognised as the city's Young Citizen earlier this year, determined to make a difference to the lives of her peers and campaign for 16 year olds to get the vote.

Now she is involved in the Express & Star's Great Big Thank You Awards, so as to recognise those who have made a difference in their own communities.

Speaking of the awards, Emma said: "I know how important it is for those young shining stars of our communities to get the recognition they deserve.

It inspires them to keep going and to keep making a difference to people's lives in whatever way they can, and encourages others to do the same.

That's why I'm backing The Great Big Thank You Awards, so please get nominating those people who are really special to you!"

The Great Big Thank You Awards ceremony takes place on January 19 next year at Molineux. The deadline to receive your nominations by is midnight on August 21.
