Mr Cadman was last seen on Tuesday morning when he left the Travelodge Hotel on Wolverhampton Road in Oldbury.

The 33-year-old, who was from Tunbridge Wells in Kent but staying in the Black Country for work, had not been in contact with his colleagues or family since.

Officers were called to the patch of land in the Carters Green area at around 2.20pm on Saturday where the body was discovered.

The death is not being treated as suspicious and although the body is yet to be formally identified, it is believed to be that of the missing 33-year-old.

Mr Cadman's family have been informed and are being supported. They have asked for their privacy to be respected.

A file is now being prepared for the coroner.

West Midlands Police's Professional Standards Department has referred the matter to the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) as a matter of course in these circumstances.
