A plan to reduce the speed limit from 40mph to 30mph on the approaches to Vine Island in Wolverhampton has been recommended for approval by city planning bosses.

Traffic at the junction has soared since the i54 business park opened.

The proposal would reduce the speed limit along the A449 Stafford Road from its junction with Bee Lane, over the roundabout and up to Farmbrook Avenue.

The restriction would also cover Wobaston Road as far as The Droveway, Innovation Drive, from its junction with Wobaston road to the Staffordshire boundary.
