EU Referendum: Is this the most unusual polling booth in the country? Portable cabin used for Halesowen vote

Is this the most unusual polling booth in the country?

No need for a village hall, school or leisure centre - a Black Country council came up with this novel idea for somewhere people can vote in the EU referendum.

Situated in Shelah Road, Halesowen, the booth is situated in a portable cabin while a generator to power lighting inside can be seen on a Dudley Council truck next to it.

Sarah Norman, chief executive of Dudley Council and elections returning officer said: "This is one of six portable cabin polling stations we have in the borough for the referendum vote.

"They might not be what you would necessarily expect from a polling station, but it doesn't seem to have deterred voters, in fact numbers have been steady and our staff on the ground say it's been good and busy."
