Oh deer! When these nine beautiful creatures tried to cross the road, they found the traffic was a little too much for them.

After a few false starts, they manage to make it across the road – but not without causing an oncoming car to pop on its brakes while the driver watches on.

This stunning sight was picked up on camera and shared on YouTube by Jochen Langbein in Cannock Chase, and shares an important message about watching out for deers on the road.

The video, which also includes shots of near misses from other locations, ends with the message 'When you see one deer... look out for another'.

On his blog, Jochen wrote: "May is the peak month for deer road casualties and related vehicle collisions countrywide.

"Close to 10,000 deer are likely to be hit in the UK during this month alone, close to twice as many as in any other month.

"Deer vehicle collisions increase especially on motorways and major A-class trunk roads during late spring, when deer coming up to one year old tend to be pushed out and disperse from their natal ranges.

"Adult females too will increasingly cross roads during May – often with new fawns at heel – as they return from more secluded areas that they seek out for giving birth.

"Be ?#?deeraware? and if you see one crossing the road - watch out - as another is likely to follow."

Jochen said that Spring isn't the only peak time for car accidents involving deer.

He explained: "Another smaller peak occurs in autumn, when the larger deer species – such as red, fallow and sika – will be on the move again to and from their rutting areas, and as daily deer activity peaks around dawn and dusk begin to overlap with rush hour road traffic."
