Travellers told to move on from Wolverhampton

Police have ordered travellers to move off a site after they set up camp in Wolverhampton.

Two caravans pitched up on Fifth Avenue this week.

Officers from the Bushbury and Oxley neighbourhood policing team visited the site was visited on Tuesday where police informed the travellers that there was a public space protection order in place.

Police said they were told they would leave the site by the end of yesterday.

The Bushbury and Oxley neighbourhood policing team tweeted: "The illegal encampment within the Public Space Protection Order area on Fifth Avenue is being address by the team."

PSPO's are in place in a bid to crack down on anti-social behaviour and general nuisance.
