'When you gotta go, you gotta go': Your reactions to the CCTV pictures shaming yobs urinating in public

CCTV images of yobs urinating in a Walsall car park have got you commenting, with readers firmly divided into two camps; those who believe it to be disgusting, and those who empathise with the plight of having a full bladder.

Understandably many of you expressed outrage that a wall in Bradford Street is being used as a urinal:

Terry Meacham: "It's not about having more 'loos'." its about decency. People doing this should be prosecuted and made to clean up the mess they are creating. It's disgusting and a health problem. I'm ashamed to be a man looking at this picture."

Walsall Council says it is gathering evidence after being alerted

David Reeves pointed out that those spending pennies were just a short walk from nearby toilets: "The Saddlers Shopping Centre is nearby with a number of public toilets, as is Asda and Tesco, so there's no excuse."

Reader Daniel Hughes took a look at both sides of the issue: "It's odd really. We live in a society that needs to use toilets but when you need to go there are none around... Not that taking a leak in public is acceptable at all... We should put public toilets on all major roads so people can at least find a place to let it all out."

While Tina Morgan Welch gave them the benefit of the doubt: "Maybe they have medical problems and can't hold it in."

Charlotte Cat also had health on her mind when she pointed out: "It's dangerous to hold it in for a long time, it can cause kidney problems. While I do not think urinating on the street is the answer, maybe more loos should be provided in busy areas."

Kelly Thackery agreed that more public toilets are needed: "Maybe if they didn't keep shutting all the pubic toilets they wouldn't have to do this in the first place. I'm six-months pregnant and it's awful when I'm out and can't find a toilet anywhere and have to hang on until I'm home."

In the end though, Lisa Kenn kept her message short and to the point: "More public toilets are needed!"

While Matthew Beeston summed the saga with this statement: "When you gotta go, you gotta go."
