The incident happened just after 4pm on Friday. A member of the public called 999 and police, ambulance and fire attended.

Two fire crews, one from Walsall and another from Aldridge, arrived shortly after the call but weren't needed to free the two casualties from the car.

They left the scene at 6.13pm.

A fire control spokesman said: "We were called to an RTC on Beacon Road in Pheasey.
