Around four tents had been pitched on derelict land at the junction of Cleveland Street and Victoria Street.

The campsite was exposed after winds blew down hoardings around it.

The land was bordered by the community art project Before I Die, which got people to list their hopes on a giant chalkboard.

West Midlands Police spokeswoman Deb Edmonds said it was a civil matter, however police had attended.

Wolverhampton council previously said those in the tents had refused an offer of accommodation.
