Daljit Uppal faces a charge of fraud by false representation relating to an order for uniform scarves at Aldersley High School in Barnhurst Lane, Wolverhampton.

The city's magistrates court heard that she allegedly invoiced the school for 1,000 scarves sourced from India at a cost of £6.50 each when, she had instead ordered the scarves from a company in Wolverhampton at a cost of £4.50 each.

Uppal, aged 43, of Greenock Crescent, Lanesfield, Wolverhampton, pleaded not guilty to the charge. She was unconditionally bailed until February 29 for trial.
