Care service deal to bring 50 jobs

Around 50 jobs will be created after a home care company secured a new contract to help provide services in Sandwell.

Custom Care is among the companies which have won a contract with Sandwell Council for services in the borough.

The firm supplies care and support services to older and disabled people living in their own homes.

Bosses have launched a recruitment drive after securing the deal starting on March 1.

Custom Care deliver more than 1,700 weekly hours of care to people with a range of care needs in Oldbury, Smethwick, West Bromwich and Wednesbury and surrounding areas.

This new contract means that the company, which has already been providing services in the area since 2013, will services for at least a further three years.

Custom Care spokeswoman, Amanda Lord, said: "We are absolutely delighted to have retained the contract with Sandwell Council - it is a credit to our amazing care workers, who have worked really hard over the past few months to improve the quality of our services.

"They are totally committed to meeting the needs of our service users and their families and have shown an extraordinary ability to develop strong relationships and to work together to deliver the best possible care in people's homes."
