Ricki Hall, who briefly dated Ozzy Osbourne's daughter Kelly in 2014, is having his facial tattoos removed and is cutting out alcohol.

The 28-year-old former Codsall Community High pupil is one of the most famous models in the UK, and was deemed to have the most influential hair in Britain by Esquire magazine two years ago.

Hall was thrust into the modelling world aged 23 after being spotted by an agent outside a Topshop store on Oxford Street, London. Before then, he was working at his dad John's garage, Highway Motorcycles, just outside Wolverhampton city centre.

It was while working at the family business he had the tattoos on his face – a cross below his left eye, three small dots below his right eye and a lighting bolt above it.

Now though, along with another cross on his ear, Hall has made the decision to get them removed by a professional tattoo artist, but he has no intention of ditching any other ink on his body.

"I had the tattoos on my face around seven years ago," said Hall.

"At the time it was pretty cool, but nowadays it's not really my thing, it's not really going with my look. I've changed my look quite a lot over the last few years. I have grown my hair out, and I'm on TV sometimes now so I want to look a bit more TV-friendly.

"I am having all of the tattoos on my arms and hands re-done with sharper, cleaner lines. It's just the ones on my face I'm getting rid of." Bizarrely, Hall's decision to remove his facial ink has not gone down too well with a portion of his followers on social media.

The devoted Wolves fan has 372,000 followers on Instagram, but more than 2,000 decided to unfollow him when learning he had chosen to get rid of that tats around his eyes.

He alluded to a situation before when people did not like that he was growing his hair long, and said: "There's people who don't like the long hair, me removing tattoos, or when I give my beard a trim.

"I'm doing it for myself though, not anybody else, so if people unfollow me I don't mind."

Facial tattoos are not the only thing Hall is getting rid of though, he has also cut out alcohol after admitting it had became 'a bit of a problem'.

"I used to be on it all the time but now I'm awake earlier, I'm more alert and I'm in charge of what I'm doing," he said.

"Without sounding like a gym freak, it makes you want to look after yourself and eat better. It has a domino effect.

"I need to be slim for my job so I'm going to the gym, running at high-intensity, and eating good foods as well."

Hall has worked for the likes of David Beckham for H&M, Lyle & Scott and Diesel and starred in music videos with actor Jake Gyllenhaal.

Now living in London, he regularly visits home, and was named among Wolverhampton's Famous Sons and Daughters, along with Lord Swraj Paul, in December.
