Racist graffiti painted on Wolverhampton Sikh temple

A Sikh temple in Wolverhampton has been daubed with racist graffiti.

The Guru Nanak Gurdwara on Well Lane in Wednesfield was hit at the weekend.

Vandals painted a derogatory word on a wall. An image showing the graffiti has since been circulating on social media.

Wednesfield South Councillor Bhupinder Gakhal said: "We the Sikh community are a peaceful community as are the Muslim community across the UK.

"We are the same Sikh community who contributed towards the Christmas tree near Wednesfield library as well as the St Thomas Church clock."
