WATCH: Danger pothole filled after cyclist's plea

A deep pothole that opened up along a busy road, branded by cyclists as an 'accident waiting to happen', has finally been fixed.

The hole appeared on the A458 on the hill towards Stourton from Enville, close to The Brennan equestrian centre last month.

Keen cyclist Maggie Thompson claimed repeated attempts to get authorities to fix the hole in the road had fallen on deaf ears.

For more than a month, grandmother-of-four Mrs Thompson, 64, from Wordsley, urged South Staffordshire Council to fix the situation.

She said: "I've had to go to such lengths to try to fix the problem. I was concerned someone would get injured by it."

Council bosses confirmed the hole was filled on Thursday.
