The Mercedes lorry was travelling along Wombourne Road in Swindon at about 2.30pm when it crashed into a grass verge which caused it to flip and land on its side.

Two people had to be freed by passers-by and the emergency services, including one man in his 50's who was treated for minor injuries at the scene before being taken to Russells Hall Hospital in Dudley.

The road was closed for a short while between Himley Lane & Bridgnorth Road.

Neil Spencer, a spokesperson for West Midlands Fire Service, said: "The incident involved a flat bed lorry which has been in collision with a grass verge, causing the lorry to overturn."
