Man, 23, charged with possession of imitation firearm in Brierley Hill

A 23-year-old man will appear in court tomorrow charged with possession of an imitation firearm after he was arrested at Brierley Hill's Waterfront complex.

Officers swooped on the business district in Waterfront Way, off Level Street, at 1pm on Saturday following reports that someone was armed with a gun.

Engineer Liam Palmer, of Cressett Lane, Brockmoor, has been charged with possession of an imitation firearm.

He will appear before Dudley Magistrates’ Court.

Officers continued to patrol part of the car park for around an hour following the arrest.
