Murder suspect bailed by police

A man has been arrested in Tividale on suspicion of murder.

Detectives investigating a double shooting in Hockley, Birmingham executed a firearms warrant and arrested the 33-year-old.

He was questioned by detectives investigating the murder of 25-year-old Derek Junior Myers on October 30 in Soho Hill.

A second man who was injured during the incident remains in a critical condition in hospital.

The 33-year-old man has been bailed by police until January 7.

Two other men remain on bail while inquiries continue.

Detective Chief Inspector Caroline Marsh, who is leading the investigation, said: "My team of detectives continue to sift through information to identify those who were involved in this incident.

"A man has lost his life and another remains critical in hospital and we would continue to appeal for anyone with information to come forward and contact us.

"If you were there or have been told anything about what happened, please get in touch."
