Girl, 12, seriously injured in Kingswinford crash

A young girl suffered serious leg injuries after a crash in Kingswinford near two schools.

The 12-year-old was taken to Russells Hall Hospital after the incident in Bromley Lane around 3.45pm this afternoon.

Police have instigated road closures between the junction of Bromley Lane and Rangeways Road, and Bromley Lane and Landrake Road.

The scene was close to both Bromley Hills Primary School and The Crestwood School.

Emergency services were called, with West Midlands Ambulance Service sending an ambulance, a paramedic officer and a community paramedic.

West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman Claire Brown said: "We treated a 12-year-old girl who was a pedestrian.

"She sustained serious leg injuries and was taken to hospital."

Police also attended after being called by their ambulance colleagues.
