Balfour Beatty is carrying out work to gas pipes under Birmingham New Road and Sedgley Road West in the next few weeks, which will lead to lane closures.

However, Dudley Council said efforts have been made to reduce disruption, with work taking place at weekends, off peak times and during school holidays.

The roadworks are due to start next Saturday and run until November 27.

One lane will be closed northbound along Birmingham New Road. During the half-term holidays, Sedgley Road West will be made one-way with diversions along Park Road, Chad Road and Mason Street.
