WATCH: Barmaid sprays Stoke fans with fire extinguisher in Birmingham pub

This is the moment that boisterous football fans were sprayed with a fire extinguisher by a barmaid at a Birmingham city centre pub.

A video posted on YouTube shows Stoke City fans doused at The Wellington pub after chants about defender Marc Muniesa.

The pub's bosses have launched an investigation and passed CCTV footage of the incident onto West Midlands Police.

The footage was taken before Stoke's 1-0 win against Aston Villa at Villa Park on Saturday.

Black Country Ales director Angus McMeeking said: "Black Country Ales has been made aware of an incident involving the discharge of a fire extinguisher by a barmaid following singing, chanting and standing on chairs and tables by some Stoke City fans and customers.

"We are investigating the matter and will carefully inspect the CCTV footage of the event and speak with members of staff.

"We have made footage of the incident available to West Midlands Police and will be meeting with the West Midlands Police to review the footage.

"After the investigation, if it is deemed appropriate the company will follow its internal disciplinary code.

"There will be no further comment from the company on this matter.

West Midlands Police said that officers arrived by chance and that no complaints were made.
