The 21-year-old will be travelling to America for a two year course at the New York Film Academy, which hosts talks for students by big names including Steven Spielberg, Al Pacino and Ron Howard.

Victoria, of Longwood Rise, Willenhall, said: "I still haven't got my head around it yet. This is a great opportunity."

Victoria must pay £40,000 for her course costs

The young actress started her budding career almost by accident - secretly dropping her business studies option at GCSE and taking up music and drama instead.

"I took music and drama having never done it and without discussing it with my parents. We had to do a show as part of it, and I told them about it the night before. They saw me and they've been so supportive of everything I've done since."

She studied Performance at Wolverhampton University, appearing in Rent, We Will Rock You and Blood Brothers.

She has been accepted into the New York Film Academy's September 2016 course but must raise upwards of £40,000 to cover costs.

"I'm working multiple jobs and selling personal belongings," she said. "The fees are so extortionate for someone from my background but I really want to give it a go.

"I'm not allowed to work out there on a student visa. It's a big dream, but there's a big barrier too."
