A large quantity of Indian and English jewellery was taken when a secure property in Pattingham was broken into on August 12.

Among the items taken were gold and silver bangles, bracelets, rings, necklaces and earrings, as well as jewellery featuring precious gems and pearls.

Staffordshire Police say the offender or offenders forced their way in to the property at around 4pm, making an 'untidy search'.

Spokeswoman Faye Casey said: "We would encourage anyone with information to come forward.

"If anyone is offered such jewellery in suspicious circumstances, or at a knock-down price please contact us.

"Some of the jewellery is very distinctive and easily recognisable."

Anyone with information should call Staffordshire Police on 101 or anonymously on 0800 555111.
