The BE831 flight had to turn back to Birmingham because of a hydraulic leak on the engine.

Five fire engines from West Midlands Fire Service were waiting on the ground at Birmingham airport but the plane landed safely.

It is understood however that the emergency was not too serious as the plane circled Birmingham International Airport for around 20 minutes at roughly 9,000 feet before it was given the all clear to land.

There were no casualties.
