WATCH: CCTV released of car wanted over hit and run which killed man

Police investigating hit-and-run collision which killed a man in Oldbury have released this CCTV footage of a car they want to track down.

CCTV released as hit-and-run investigation continuesOfficers investigating a fatal hit-and-run collision in Oldbury have released this CCTV footage of a car they want to track down.Antony Maskell, known as Tony, was walking along the dual carriageway on Birchfield Lane just before midnight on 30 July when he was involved in a collision ? just outside the Whiteheath Tavern.He was taken to hospital with serious head injuries but died the next day.We have now released CCTV footage of a silver Nissan Micra which we believe was involved in the collision. The car is believed to have travelled along Birchfield Lane from the direction of Birchley Island and after the collision it turned left into Titford Lane and then right into a service road near to the back of the Fox Tavern pub.The investigation so far has also identified some potentially key witnesses who may have information about what happened. We want to trace the occupants of two vehicles seen travelling in the opposite direction at the time of the collision ? these were a light coloured Peugeot 207 or 208 and a white SUV type vehicle.In addition two people are believed to have been passing by the service road walking a dog following the collision and could have important information about the car involved.It has now been three weeks since this collision and we are continuing to appeal to anyone with information to call us.We also want to urge the driver of the car in the video to do the right thing and come forward and contact us.Tony’s family are desperate for the truth behind his tragic death and our investigation is moving forward every day.Anyone with information should contact Sergeant Lyman on 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
