Driver caught doing 108mph on M6 Toll

A driver was caught by police travelling at 108mph on the M6 Toll in Staffordshire – on a day when 33 speeding motorists were caught on the motorway.

Officers from Central Motorway Policing Group stopped the man between T5 for Shenstone and T6 for Burntwood.

He was summoned to appear at court after the incident, which happened at about 10pm on Monday.

A total of 33 drivers were clocked speeding on the toll on Monday.

It comes on the first day of a Europe-wide speed enforcement campaign, which is running all week.

The toll has been targeted as the public have raised concerns about speeding drivers.
