Haydn Boswell was found in A&E at Warwick Hospital after walking around and suffering sunburn and blisters all over his feet, wife Stephanie said.

Staff at the hospital got in touch with police when they realised he was a missing person and Mr Boswell's family was contacted. He has since been reunited with his loved ones at his home in Heath Hayes, where his overjoyed wife cooked him a welcome-home meal of pasta.

Mrs Boswell said today: "When I was told he'd been found I just cried. I couldn't believe they'd actually found him and I was just so relieved that it was the positive of him being found, not the negative.

"But I knew deep down that he wouldn't have done anything like that, it was just a case of where he was."

Mr Boswell had suffered from depression

She added: "He is obviously quite tired, sunburnt, he's got blisters all over his feet as he'd walked wherever he went.

"He wasn't even heading anywhere, he was just walking.

"He was found in Warwick Hospital A&E, they found out he'd been missing, got in touch with the police and got him back home.

"Now he's obviously going to get help with his depression. He just needs time to get well."

Mr Boswell, aged 44, who is known as Ade, who had been suffering from depression, had been missing since last Friday, leaving his loved ones feeling increasingly concerned about his welfare.

Searches of the local area were carried out by friends, family and neighbours after he failed to return to his home and a campaign was launched on Facebook to help find him.

Mrs Boswell said: "I just want to thank everybody that shared the appeal, everybody that went out searching for him, all our friends that have visited and comforted me and my family, who have been amazing. They were awesome and I couldn't have done this by myself. I'll never forget how kind everybody has been to me and how many kind thoughts there were for Haydn."

The search for Haydn Boswell

On the Facebook page set up to help find the self-employed electrician, message began pouring in yesterday from well-wishers relieved that Mr Boswell had been found. One message read: "Finally the update we have all been praying for, Ade has been found and is being brought home to his family.

"On behalf of Steph and their families, thank you all for your help and support though this difficult time." Mr Boswell's brother-in-law James Wright posted: "What a relief and so glad to hear, it's fantastic news, a massive thanks to everyone that's been involved in finding my brother in law, his family are unbelievably grateful to you all."

Mr Boswell went missing on July 24. His wife, a 41-year-old clinical research nurse, returned from work to find him gone. She knew immediately something was wrong and called the police. Her partner of a decade did not usually leave their house alone. Friends and neighbours rallied in the days that followed and organised searches in places where the couple walked their dog.

Searches were carried out on Gentleshaw Common in Rugeley and on the Hednesford Hills. The group also printed pictures of Mr Boswell and stuck them all over the community – on trees, walls, outside supermarkets and pubs.

A dedicated Facebook page was set up called Get Ade Home.
