Woman cut free after three-car smash on Black Country route

A woman had to be cut from her car by firefighters after a three-vehicle crash on the Black Country Route.

Two cars and a low loader van crashed on the dual carriageway near the M6 just after 6pm, which saw fire crews from Bilston and Willenhall were called to the scene.

The woman was released from her car by firefighters using cutting equipment, who removed the roof.

She was taken to hospital with spinal and chest injuries, while a man who was driving the van was also hospitalised with chest injuries.

Motorists were delayed on the roaduntil around 8.30pm
