An Audi A7 and Peugeot 206 were left badly damaged after the smash on Stalling's Lane yesterday.

The drivers of both cars and the children were checked over by paramedics at the scene but nobody had to be taken to hospital.

Debris was left strewn over the road following the crash, which happened at around 1.30pm. The road was closed as the two cars were removed.

West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman Ty Bhotal said: "Two motor vehicles were involved in a head-on collision on the roadway.

"Two adults and two children were assessed by paramedics. The vehicles were made safe by fire crews."
