The Bilston Youth Partnership League have created the Joel Richards Trophy to be awarded for service to young referees. Nineteen-year-old Joel was himself a referee.

Keith is a member of the Wolverhampton Referees' Association and acts as a mentor to young referees.

He is also a member of the JW Hunt Cup committee which stages the annual football competition in aid of the Beacon Centre for the Blind.

Another committee man, Walter Wakeman, with 30 years service to the competition first as secretary and then as treasurer, is to be honoured with a celebration evening at Goodyear Pavilion in September.

Other football organisations in the Wolverhampton area are helping stage the event for Walter who also served the Wolverhampton Referees' Association as referees instructor for 20 years.

At their AGM, the Hunt Cup committee voted to give £8,000 to the Beacon Centre and were thanked by Beacon chief executive Arwyn Jones.

Next year marks the 90th anniversary of the Hunt Cup's foundation and Arwyn wished the competition continued success and thanked the committee members for the work they do, all of them volunteers.
