Two taken to hospital after crash near Blackheath

Two people have been taken to hospital following a crash which blocked a busy road near Blackheath.

Firefighters used cutting gears to remove the side and roof of a car to help an injured teenager.
The accident happened in Gorsty Hill Road just after 3pm.
A black Peugeot 206 and a red Vauxhall car were involved in the crash.
An 18-year-old man was inside the Peugeot and was treated for shoulder and chest injuries.
Fire crews cut the side of the car away to help paramedics assess the man.
The roof was then removed to allow paramedics and firefighters to bring the man out of the car on a spinal board.
He was given pain relief before being taken to Russells Hall Hospital.
Two other men travelling in the same car were assessed at scene.
A woman, who was driving the second car, was treated for facial injuries.
She was also taken to Russells Hall Hospital for further assessment.
Fire crews from Oldbury and Haden Cross stations helped make the vehicles safe and cleared up some debris.
The road was reopened after 4.30pm.
