The signed and framed George Elokobi shirt

And staff told the Express & Star they were forced to throw out two men who attempted to wrench a frame containing a signed George Elokobi shirt from a wall.

They say there were around 15 men and all of those involved in the incident were wearing Wolves badges or shirts and singing club songs.

The pub, just outside Torremolinos on the southern Spanish coast, is a popular haunt with Wolves fans.

Manager Jak Shepherd, who is from Wolverhampton and has been in Spain for two years, said the drama started when a group of men entered the bar on June 13.

"We didn't think there would be any trouble because it was clear they were all Wolves fans," the 20-year-old said. "We think they were probably on a stag do because some of them were wearing masks. They were singing Wolves songs and just being a bit rowdy, but it started to turn nasty.

"Two blokes got on a table and tried to pull down a signed George Elokobi shirt from the wall.

"Thankfully we stopped them and kicked them out before they could get it down because that shirt is priceless to us. We're all disgusted to be honest. You just don't expect it from fans of your own team."
