Caught on CCTV: Ride-by robber knocks woman, 68, to ground as her handbag is stolen
This footage shows the moments a callous thief cycles up behind a 68-year-old woman and snatches her handbag, knocking her to the ground.
The ride-by robbery took place in broad daylight in Coseley and left the victim with bruising and shoulder pain.
The thief is described as white, and aged between 16 and 20. At the time of the robbery in Daisy Street at around midday on June 9, he was wearing a a grey top, blue shorts and white trainers.
Detective Constable Nick Slym said: "The 68-year-old victim was needlessly pulled to the floor in this robbery, leaving her with bruising and shoulder pain… all for the sake of just £20.
"This robber clearly has no qualms about targeting a lone woman in the street and we're determined not to let him get away with it.
"We're releasing this CCTV footage in the hope it will prick somebody's conscience into giving us his identity and I'd urge anyone who knows who he is to contact us on 101."
