Caught on CCTV: Teen sought after racist comment made and Oldbury security guard punched in the face

This is the teenager police would like to speak to after a racist comment was made and a security guard was punched in the face in an Oldbury supermarket.

The 44-year-old man was ushering a group of young people out of Sainsbury's in Freeth Street when the attack took place at around 5.45pm on Saturday, May 23.

The offender is described as black, around 5ft 6ins tall, aged 17 to 18, medium build with short cropped black hair, clean shaven and spoke with a local accent. He was wearing a light blue jacket, a white t-shirt and black jogging bottoms.

Detective Constable Luke Stephens, from Sandwell Police, said: "This was a completely unacceptable attack on a man who was just trying to carry out his job.

"Crimes like this will not be tolerated and we need members of the public to come forward and help with our investigation.

"If you recognise the young man pictured or if you were at the shop at the time and witnessed what happened please call us now on 101."
