IN PICTURES: Lorry blaze causes delays on busy trunk road

Motorists faced significant delays this morning after a lorry fire on a busy trunk road.

The incident, which Shropshire Fire and Rescue said affected "100 per cent" of the lorry's cab, took place at around 5.24am on the A41 in Tong.

The road was closed as a result with heavy traffic in both directions, between the M54 at the Offoxey Road junction and Albrighton.

Three fire crews were called to tackle the blaze, which was extinguished by around 7am, with rush hour motorists facing disruption as a result.
