Firefighters tackle blaze at Tipton factory

Three fire crews attended a factory fire in Tipton this evening.

The fire broke out at the rear of one of the factory buildings at the Coneygree Trading Estate on Coneygree Road just before 6pm.

Crews from Tipton, Dudley and Oldbury attended and cleared the blaze at about 6.40pm using one hose reel and four breathing apparatuses.

One person at the scene suffered from smoke inhalation and was taken to Russells Hall Hospital as a precaution.

The cause of the fire remains unclear.
