Ranjit Singh Power, who owns the Ramada Park Hall Hotel in the city, has been missing since going on a business trip to the country on May 7.

The 54-year-old has been placed on West Midland Police's Missing Persons list.

Yesterday, reports in India said individuals were being questioned by police over Mr Power's disappearance.

One of the men is a male driver who collected Mr Power from Amritsar Airport in Punjab on May 7.

Mr Power's heartbroken daughter Emma, who lives in Tettenhall, said: "Police in India are questioning individuals at the moment but that is as much as I know at the moment.

"Nothing else has been said back from India as of now."

Fears for his safety have been growing by the day and during the weekend Ranjit's family significantly increased a reward offer to find him from £10,000 to £25,000.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Mr Power should contact police on 101.
