Caught on CCTV: Pair sought after student held for nine hours and robbed
These are the two men police would like to speak to after a student was lured to a flat and held against his will while he was robbed and burglars broke into his house.
The 25-year-old met up with a woman he made contact with online in February and was taken to a flat in Birmingham city centre.
The woman told him she needed to pick something up from a friend, but once inside the apartment the door was locked and the young man was prevented from leaving.
He was held at the flat for around nine hours, during which time he was forced to hand over his mobile phone and his wallet. The man's house keys were also taken.
While held at the flat in the Abacus building in Bradford Street, the woman returned to his apartment and took his laptop, games console, watches, designer clothing and passports.
DC Mark Timmins, from the Central Birmingham Investigation Team, said: "This is an alarming crime, where a young man was lured to a flat and held against his will for several hours while people robbed him and took his personal possessions.
"The men eventually let him go at around 7am on the morning of February 26, which is when he raised the alarm with police.
"Thankfully the swift report meant that officers could visit the address and recover some property, and make arrests, a short time later."
Police later charged a man and a woman with false imprisonment and burglary in connection with the incident.
DC Timmins added: "The two men captured on CCTV leaving the building are two other people we want to speak to in connection with the crime and urge anyone who knows who they are to contact us."
